The first private technology park in Chelyabinsk is open

Chelyabinsk information technology park is set up with participation of RVC Infrafund and the private investor Maksim Sudakov

The official opening of the first private information technology park in Chelyabinsk Region was held on April 19, 2016. Chelyabinsk information technology park is an investment project of RVC Infrafund and private investors created with support of the Government of Chelyabinsk Region and Ministry of Information Technology of Chelyabinsk Region.

An interesting and topical idea related to military-industrial complex (MIC) is practised at this venue, commented Boris Dubrovskiy.Technologies required by MIC enterprises are developed here. However, such programs may also be used in civil industries. That is why, everything that will be developed here has good prospects and market value.

Technology park occupies an area of 2 200 sq.m. in a new building in the modern growing district of Chelyabinsk. The biggest regional IT companies have already become its anchor residents; seed stage technology companies are actively attracted as constant residents and participants of separate programs and events. In general, IT park is able to offer about 100 work places including co-working zone and incubator sector.

Technopark is an opportunity for seed stage IT business or a team of graduates from IT universities who for the time being just plan to launch business, to deep into the environment with all components necessary for successful start: expert support, access to investment community, ability to build or extend professional and industry connections, noted Alexander Loktev, General Manager of RVC Infrafund.

Technopark will become a catalyst for growth of IT industry in the region by creating an opportunity to set up dialogue between big business, state, start-ups and scientific community, Ulyana Makshanova, Director of IT-Park said. We believe that this will help us identify the existing problems preventing growth of this industry, work out variants of their solution, create new projects, retain existing human resources and attract investments to the region.
